Library
The Benton County Library, located in Camden, is open six days a week. In addition to a collection of over 25,000 volumes, including audio and video materials, and a large genealogy department, the library also has access to the state's Regional Library System. Through interlibrary loan requests and a WATS line to the Memphis Public Library and Information Center, the staff is able to fill almost any request.
The Benton County Library also boasts a wonderful state-of-the-art archives department, where county documents dating back to the early 1800s have been carefully preserved and recorded in a computer database for easy location and retrieval.
The Benton County Library sponsors a year-round children's program and a summer reading program.
The Big Sandy Branch Library is kept open 40 hours a week by volunteers, who also maintain a collection of books, videos and audio cassettes.
